Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, and GCP) Enterprise Services Engineer in DC Metropolitan Area, or in a location to be determined upon offer acceptance.
Work responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Advanced developer of Python lambda functions to automate Enterprise provisioning, changes, and reporting for all type of AWS resources
- Use of GitHub code repositories to create, update, and document Python Lambda functions code
- Design, configure, test, monitor, and troubleshoot AWS Enterprise Transit Gateways routing and route tables, network attachment management, policy enforcement, and managing connectivity and security
- Provision, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot new AWS Accounts, VPCs, Subnets, Virtual Private Gateways, and connectivity to the Enterprise Transit Gateway using Python Lambda functions, CloudFormation, and AWS Organizations
- Provision, configure, and troubleshoot AWS enterprise Compute, RDS, Storage (S3, EBS, EFS), Load Balancers, VPC Peering Connections, and Security Groups in the AWS Enterprise
- Proficient in the creation/use of resource tagging, AWS VPC Flow Logs, CloudWatch Logs, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation
- Perform network troubleshooting in AWS, to include network performance and log analysis, packet analysis using sniffing tools, network configuration verification, connectivity testing, and DNS issue troubleshooting
- Full lifecyle cost optimization of cloud usage and rates using the FinOps Foundation Framework
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) programmatic provisioning capabilities offered by commercial cloud service providers and utilize a CI/CD pipeline.
- Support the interconnectivity between cloud service providers and applications living in these environments.
- Perform all cloud engineering and DevSecOps services on the following Operating Systems:
- RedHat Linux
- Amazon Linux 2
- Microsoft Windows Server
Basic Qualifications:
- Participation in new solution design and development.
- Experience working in public and private clouds.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.
- Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills
- Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.
- Proven experience with managing and using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps concepts.
- Proficient in all the Commercial Cloud Services available in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google
- Proficient in supporting tools such as or similar to:
Chef – Build automation tool comprised of Chef Server, Chef Automate, Chef Habitat, Chef Client, Chef Knife, Cookbooks stored in Git.
Ansible Automation Platform – Build automation tool for several of our major and non-major applications.
CloudBees Jenkins – Orchestration tool used to execute the jobs to initiate a server or environment build for our major and non-major systems.
Git – Source code repository and documentation repository for all our cloud based systems.
Sonatype Nexus Repo– Manages application repositories and polices for software supply chain.
Pivotal Cloud Foundry – Containerization technology for several of our key non- major applications.
Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)–Containerization technology used for the major system pipelines and workloads throughout the AWS environments.
SCCM – Used to update and deploy patches and system updates to our Windows based operating systems.
Twistlock – Used to scan the container services containers for any security updates, patches, or vulnerabilities that need to be addressed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with tools including: ServiceNow, GitHub, Jira, Confluence
- Experience with ITIL, DevSecOps and Agile concepts and tools
- Experience supporting Government contracts
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field preferred. 1-5 years of proven experience on the above-identified work responsibilities.
Certification:
- One or more Architect Cloud Certifications (preferred)
