About the Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking a backend software engineer who wants to work at scale, be challenged, and take on a highly impactful role building edge services. Your experience working with large-scale distributed systems will be applied across a range of services. As part of the team, you will have a hand in designing our Cloud architecture and protocol. Your details-oriented mindset and performance focus will allow CrowdStrike to scale into the future. This role requires solid experience with large-scale distributed systems, performance optimization, user authentication protocols, open source tools and libraries and multi-tenant architecture. This role reports to the CTO, Falcon Platform.

What You'll Need:

• The ability to scale backend systems – sharding, partitioning, scaling horizontally are second nature to you.

• The ability to troubleshoot and pinpoint system failures across a pipeline of services.

• Experience with user authentication protocols, single-sign on API driven development

• The desire to ship code and the love of seeing your bits run in production.

• Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges, multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies.

• Solid grounding in the technology of at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP) 

• Golang experience is desirable

• Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development.

• Extensive experience developing robust, scalable web applications using Golang, Python or equivalent

• Previous experience designing and developing solutions to complex problems with significant business impact

• Proven ability to learn other coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools

• Experience owning projects from the initial idea all the way to production

• Experience mentoring junior engineers

Bonus Points:

• Direct experience with mobile apps and scaling backend infrastructure for mobile users

• Familiarity with iOS and/or Android apps and development
