Role

In your role as part of the UX team you’ll design intuitive, clean flows and user interfaces that increase value and usability for Corelights users as we create next generation solutions that protect the largest organizations in the world. We’re on a mission, and at Corelight, you can make a big difference. Your designs will quite literally help some of the largest companies and governments protect digital assets and citizens against advanced cyber attacks. 

Responsibilities

• Understand product specifications and user psychology and predict what might work for both
• Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, storyboards with usability and high user engagement as top priorities
• Breaking down work into design iterations that deliver new design assets required for implementation each sprint
• Provide guidance on the implementation of UX research techniques and testing activities to assess user behavior
• Contribute to and help drive Corelight’s design system and liaison between UX, Product Management, and UI Engineering.   
• Perform tests on user interface elements such as , layouts, navigation, workflow completion, onboarding experience, visibility and clarity of actions.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• This role requires a self-starter who enjoys working in a collaborative environment that emphasizes working in small cross-functional teams with UX, product, and engineering teammates as one unit on a mission to make the world a better place
• Minimum 3 years experience in UX with at least 60% of prior UX experience focused on single page applications sold to enterprise companies
• Must have experience working in close partnership with Product Managers and UI developers on rapid delivery of early stage ideas as you make progress towards comprehensive designs
• An impressive portfolio showcasing market-leading user experience and visual design work. 
• In-depth expertise and experience using Figma
• Exceptional familiarity with industry design language and standards and design protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
• Some experience in user research and persona development through continuous customer interviews and usability testing and act rapidly on the information, iterating towards the optimal experience.
• Experience working in a dual-track Agile development environment where design sprints feed delivery sprints on a continuous cadence 
• Knowledge and experience in cyber security or in solving design problems where the product can distill large amounts of data into simplified, interactive experiences
• Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
