Job Summary
Summary:Responsible for designing, implementing, and supervising fitness programs tailored to patients with varying medical conditions. This role involves collaboration with healthcare professionals to promote health, rehabilitation, and recovery through exercise and wellness initiatives.
Qualifications
Essential Functions:
Conduct initial fitness assessments to evaluate patients' physical capabilities and limitations.
-Collaborate with healthcare providers to understand patient medical histories and rehabilitation needs.
-Design individualized exercise and rehabilitation programs based on assessment results and patient goals.
-Modify programs as needed to accommodate changes in patients' conditions or progress.
-Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and safety protocols.
-Provide ongoing support, motivation, and encouragement to patients throughout their fitness journey.
Education
Bachelor's Degree Kinesiology required

Licenses and Credentials
Heartsaver CPR AED [CPR] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred Certified Personal Trainer - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
Experience
Experience in a fitness, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting 3-5 years required and Experience working with diverse populations, including patients with chronic conditions, post-surgical recovery, and other rehabilitation needs 2-3 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of exercise physiology, rehabilitation techniques, and fitness assessment protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to motivate and inspire individuals to achieve their fitness and rehabilitation goals.
- Proficiency in using fitness assessment tools and technology.
