We are looking for a Frontend Architect to join our Architecture team. This is a technical, hands-on role for a senior front-end engineer and leader. You will spend a lot of time writing code, but also work collaboratively with other architects, engineers, and leaders across multiple teams to help shape the frontend architecture and design system within our Product and Technology organization. As a leader and architect, you will ensure that web experiences across our organization implement modern and future-forward solutions that include responsive design, analytics and monitoring, user experience optimization, and automated testing.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for building scalable, maintainable, and tested software in collaboration with a team that embraces a vision of engineering excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Solve the hardest front-end problems that impact our entire Product and Technology organization
  • Stay up-to-date with front-end technologies as they evolve and instill changes as needed
  • Provide thought leadership to technology teams, consulting on modern front-end architecture, best practices and design patterns
  • Develop shared components for our design system to be utilized across other engineering teams
  • Actively collaborate with other architects to solve problems together and establish shared patterns
  • Partner with engineers through code reviews, pair programming, interactive design sessions and team retrospectives
  • Work with our engineering leadership team to prioritize work quarterly

Requirements:

  • 7+ years software development experience including experience developing modern web applications using React, Angular or a similar Javascript-based framework
  • Experience working with design systems and component libraries at a large scale
  • Experience designing and developing complex React applications
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring other engineers
  • Experience working with NX Monorepos is a plus
  • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively with other team members
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
