Medical Vendor Specialist

Summary

The qualified candidate will be responsible for ordering medical records through our third party medical records vendor.  Once obtained, the candidate will be responsible for follow up with internal and external parties ensuring the medical records are secured accurately and timely.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ordering medical records and working directly with our agents and third party vendor in seeing the process through to ensure records are received accurately and timely
  • Handle multiple processes relating to the Medical Information Bureau
  • Maintain streamlining and processing within the unit
  • Work with Agents, New Business and Underwriters regarding needs and requirements on a case by case basis.

Job Requirements

  • College degree
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy a must
  • Financial and billing services experience preferred
  • Medical experience preferred, specifically medical terminology and medical office exposure
  • Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); mainframe processing, and the ability to utilize dual monitors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet established deadlines; must be able to work independently as well as being a team player
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment; strong interpersonal skills a must
  • Must be able to pass a background check
The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
