Medical Technologist-Team Lead-Evening

The Team/Shift Lead coordinates MLT’s and MLS’ in a wide range of duties that includes producing timely lab results, performing and documenting quality control, proper utilization of supplies and assuring compliance with state, OSHA, FMC, CAP and other agency guidelines.  Delegates testing to responsibilities, assures competency of all testing personnel, accepts responsibility for accuracy of results and reviews test results. Performs the duties of a technologist as needed.

 

1. QUALIFICATIONS:
   1. Education
   2. Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or
   3. Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
2. Experience

A minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job functions of a leadership role.

 

1. Licensure/Certification
2. Registered Medical Technologist, ASCP or equivalent

Floyd Medical Center is also home to a state-designated Level II Trauma Center, a behavioral health center, specialty centers for pediatrics, wound care, and hyperbaric therapy. It houses primary care and urgent care networks of providers and hosts a realm of outpatient services, including the operation of the Floyd County Clinic and an associated pharmacy for uninsured patients.
