The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Sr Corporate Planning Analyst on the Finance Team reporting to the Manager of Corporate Planning.

 

This position sits on-site in Miami, FL.

 

Position Summary:

We are looking for a driven, self-starter with experience in financial modeling and a strong knowledge of broader corporate finance concepts. The ideal fit will be an individual with outstanding communication skills and intellectual curiosity, as our group relies on communicating effectively with departments throughout the entire company. The position requires the ability to identify company performance improvement opportunities and turn these opportunities into actionable insights for our senior executives through rigorous analysis of financial data and meetings with different stakeholders across the organization. The role works closely with Corporate Strategy, supporting the development of our long-range forecast and performing valuation analysis that inform recommendations to senior leadership. The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills as the insights we drive require analysis of complex financial data.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs analysis of complex data, with strong experience in gathering actionable insights.
  • Manages the corporate liquidity forecast, performing monthly variance analysis and presenting findings to senior leadership on a quarterly basis.
  • Supports the development of our 10-year financial outlook. Responsible for assessing key metrics related to each of the three financial statements.
  • Performs valuation and benchmarking analyses to gather insights relative to our peer set and the broader market, supporting capital allocation decisions that steer the direction of the company.
  • Assists with developing and packaging of financial presentations for quarterly board of director meetings and quarterly earning calls.
  • Supports Investor Relations through the aggregation and analysis of consensus estimates from buy-side and sell-side analysts.
  • Develops strategic insights based on internal and external data and business analysis, including but not limited to analysis of markets, customers, and businesses.
  • Builds and develops presentation decks and visualizations in PowerPoint, Power BI, or related tools which clearly communicate the team’s findings and potential impact on the business.
  • Supports financial modeling improvements in planning and forecasting to enhance efficiency, support new initiatives, and accurately capture changing business environments.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • 2-5 years of relevant analytical work experience required. Experience in corporate finance, consulting, or investment banking is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or other technical discipline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) required.
  • Understanding of corporate finance and accounting. Experience with three-financial statement modeling a plus.
  • Understanding of microeconomic and macroeconomic principles is preferred.
  • Highly advanced communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical skills and can think strategically about the cruise/hospitality business.
  • High energy and sense of urgency required.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under deadline pressure.
  • Willingness to work hard and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong business acumen, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated to achieve desired goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems.
  • Must be willing to reside in South Florida.
