Repsol is seeking an experienced Project Services Lead to support development projects within the Northern Slope. This role will report to the Director for Alaska Projects and will be based out of our office in Anchorage Alaska.
Repsol Alaska is a major investor in Alaska and is a partner in ongoing and future planned development projects on the North Slope. To support the management of ongoing development projects and securing approvals for future large capital projects Repsol Alaska will require an experienced Project Services Lead to support project scheduling, cost control and cost estimation on all projects where Repsol is a participating partner.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for the development of project schedules, cost estimation, cost control procedures and document control as a working interest owner in major development projects. Work closely with project Operator to ensure alignment and understanding of schedule, project milestones, project cost estimates and resources required.
- Monitor the implementation of the Project timeline and cost control system, track value of work done (VOWD) against forecasted project cost estimates, develop and updated costs estimates, schedule revisions and coordinate project risk assessments. Be capable of reporting against original and latest project baseline.
- Maintain appropriate communication and relationships with other projects partners, project operator and regulators to ensure support for successful project implementation. Attend workshops and committee meetings with project operator, partners, government regulators, contractors and other Repsol functional organizations as needed.
- Have a fundamental understanding of project gate processes. Support the development and implementation of work programs and budgets for each phase of new large capital projects, being part of the team to take projects from Conceptualization, Definition and Execution. Major milestones include project FID and project delivery through first production.
- Ensure the availability of the Project Execution Plan at the time of FID (resource organization, execution strategy, execution plan, and cost control baseline).
- Coordination with internal areas for preparation and collation of inputs for Annual Budget submissions, Long-range and Strategic Plans and submission of same to Planning and Performance.
- Update and maintain detailed control of WBS (Work Breakdown Program Structure) and the keen management of required Authorizations for Expenditure (AFES) Coordination with internal departments for preparation, collation, and submission of cost reforecast submissions.
- Responsible for project progress reporting to internal stakeholders including Monthly Project Management Execution Reports, periodic presentations to management on project performance against approved cost estimates and schedules, status of project risks and mitigations. Providing justifications to BU Director, Planning and Performance, Regional and Head Office regarding cost inputs or any other queries.
- Tracking of billings (JIBS) and follow-up with relevant areas to optimize Partner invoicing process.
- Preparation of monthly manual accruals, coordination with Accounting and requesting Performance approval.
- Provide support for Corporate annual Risk exercise.
- Update information on project activities and assets, cost of replacement for corporate yearly insurance policy, according to latest EAC and project schedules, notifying Insurance division on critical milestones
- Serve as the interface between the Project Management and Supply Chain Management.
- Monitor the awarding of different contracts and the on-site arrival of materials, working closely with the Operators project team in tracking project performance against project KPIs.
- Ensure adherence to Repsol's General Terms and Conditions and Partner Agreements.
