About the role
Summary
Dr. Kara Marshall in the Neuroscience department has an open position for a Laboratory Assistant. The Laboratory Assistant will aide with lab experiments and basic histology experiments. This position is part-time with 10 hours/week.
Job Duties
- Asists with dissections, tissue processing, histology, immunostaining, fluorescence microscopy.
- Cleans laboratory equipment.
- Participates in journal club.
- Assists with organizing lab supplies and equipment and maintain scientific record keeping.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Six months of relevant experience.
Work Authorization Requirement:
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
