Handyperson

Keeps premises of office building or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. If in a Lead capacity, the incumbent also ensures the route is followed according to the direction of the Account Manager/Account Supervisor, performs quality inspections, and may recommend disciplinary actions to the Account Supervisor.

· Clean facilities by sweeping, dusting etc.

· Assist with furniture setups.

· Perform maintenance and light repairs.

· Perform routine landscaping on the grounds.

· Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)

· Undertake light installation or carpentering (e.g., building cabinets)

· Repair equipment or appliances.

· Assist trades people with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs.

· Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g., shoveling snow)

· Identify and report on the need for major repairs.

· Proven experience as handyperson

· Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment

· Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems.

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Driving experience / DL required.

· Basic computer skills.

Language Ability:

Ability to speak, read, write, and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers. English is a must.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct simple instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
