About the job
We are seeking a Instructional Designer a nationwide staffing and solutions firm.
Principal Duties:
- Conduct needs analysis to identify learning objectives, develop course material consistent with current learning theory, lead train-the-trainer sessions to ready facilitators, and create assessment and evaluation instruments to measure learning effectiveness.
- Develop leadership curriculum based on proven strategies determined by current research, benchmarking, and/or assessments.
- Employ agile development processes while advocating for new approaches and creative processes.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate their knowledge into effective learning experiences.
- Build strong consulting and working relationships with stakeholders to manage expectations, create project plans, and regularly communicate project status.
- Uses project management systems to monitor, update, and report on the status of ongoing projects.
- Act as lead instructional designer and collaborate with others to create cohesive and effective learning experiences.
- Utilize educational technology and e-learning tools to enhance the learning experiences and promote engagement.
- Create and deliver training products including presentations, e-learning, instructor-led, virtual, video, etc.
- Stay up to date on the latest trends in instructional design and technology.
Requirements
- BA/BS in instructional design, organizational development, training and development or communication. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience designing learning experiences for operational and non-operational leaders.
- Proven ability to design learning experiences that bring energy, engagement, and excitement.
- Experience creating and delivering presentations to all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and facilitation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and superior analytical skills.
- Strong consulting and relationship management skills. A team player who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly.
- Demonstrated proficiency with PowerPoint, Articulate RISE and Storyline, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). Video and audio editing suites and digital product design software a plus.
- Certification in administration of personality inventories (DISC, HBDI, Myers Briggs)
- Experience with LMS and LXP platforms.
- Experience with SuccessFactors, or other HRIS.
