40 Hr A Week - Parkinson In Home Care Professional

About the Position:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate caregiver with experience caring for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. The ideal candidate will be patient, observant, and comfortable assisting with mobility challenges, daily tasks, and transportation to and from medical appointments using their own insured vehicle. This position works closely with the Nurse Care Manager to ensure the client receives the proper care and support needed to maintain independence and remain safely in their home

Location: South Barrington 

Schedule: 11 am to 6:30 pm, 6 days a week

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-home personal care and companionship

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility)

• Monitor symptoms and provide support for Parkinsons-related needs

• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed

• Drive the client to and from medical appointments, errands, and social outings

• Maintain a safe and supportive environment

Position Requirements 

• Ability to pass the Illinois Department of Healthcare Registry Background check

• Must possess the ability to navigate a phone application in order to clock in and out, as well as enter case notes

• Ability to work and relate with the ill, elderly, and disabled population, having at least 1+ year of caregiving experience 

• Must have prior Parkinson's caregiving experience

• Demonstrate the ability to be a strong team player

• Ability to work independently and when circumstances warrant the ability to make decisions
