Leidos currently has an opening for a Director of Logistics in the Integrated Airborne Solutions Division. The IAS division currently manages 10 different programs supporting Airborne ISR, force protection, and UAS missions for the US Army, Special Operations Command, and Air Force.

What’s in it for you?

The IAS division logistics team is also responsible for managing the logistics for Leidos part 145 repair station used for airframe modifications and maintenance on customers and Leidos fleets of manned aircraft.  This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Leidos Integrated Airborne Solutions Division.

The Director of Logistics is responsible for management and oversight of the logistics and product support functions on all Integrated Airborne Solutions (IAS) programs.  

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

  • Maintain and improve logistics and product support management standard operating procedures, program specific execution plans, and job specific training aids to ensure consistent output, ease training, and gain efficiencies in logistics activity.

  • Provide oversight of task execution to ensure compliance with documented processes, schedules are met, hot button issues receive adequate attention, and delivered goods and services are superior quality.

  • Manage the directorate staffing levels, budgeting, program specific spend plans, and ensure appropriate charge codes are being used by logistics employees for labor and materials.

  • Manage, coach, and support the logistics and product support managers responsible for life cycle logistics activities on each IAS program.

  • Manage training program for logistics and product support management functions and coordinate with Directors and function specific leads to maximize efficiency of cross-functional workflows.

  • Interface with Customers, Executives, Directors, and Program Managers to understand corporate and program specific objectives and communicate planned logistics activity to meet those objectives.

  • Provide oversight of Government Property accountability program currently accounting for 102,108-line items worth $2.4 billion. Interface with corporate property administration leadership to ensure compliance using IAS managed tools and minimize redundancy in corporate workflows. 

  • Interface with corporate procurement leadership to streamline workflows and escalate where required.

  • Responsible for sustainment engineering programs for FMECA, FTA, MTA, LORA, RCM, FRACAS, RAM-C, logistics product data development, provisioning, technical manuals, safety, and training.

  • Responsible for ensuring collection of data required to monitor and report on performance-based logistics metrics, key performance parameters, and key system attributes.

  • Author of all major logistics CDRL’s including Integrated Logistics Support, Property Management, DMSMS, LORA program, Reliability Program, and Supply Chain Risk Management Plans. 

  • Lead logistics transition efforts on newly awarded programs including incumbent captures with significant amounts of government property line items needing to be relocated and transferred.

  • Lead logistics efforts for quick reaction deployments, excursion missions, site relocations, demobilizations, and divestment efforts in response to US Army divestment decisions.

  • Responsible for developing implementation strategy and improvement program for multiple logistics, operations, and maintenance databases. Includes training program and administration for all business area employees.

  • Ensure audit readiness and compliance for logistics operations and regulatory compliance for sensitive regulatory categories such as ITAR, HAZMAT, CCI, and Classified material management.

  • Lead IAS proposal efforts for logistics inputs, developing and writing technical execution solutions, level of effort (LOE) and labor category (LCAT) selections, bill of materials (BOM), other direct costs/services (ODC), and basis of estimates (BOE).

  • Author of logistics requirements in SOW’s for subcontracted support.

  • Oversight of CAPX program to maintain accountability of Leidos owned property used in sup
