About the role

OBJECTIVEPerform specialized accounting functions within Accounting - Deposit Operations in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellent internal service while supporting the credit union’s overall financial integrity.  Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, streamline reconciliations, and improve reporting tools.WORKING HOURSMonday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm This location is a hybrid role with onsite-work based at Clearview's headquarters in Moon Township, PA (15108), USA. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of Moon Township, PA. This role is expected to work on-site on a regular (monthly or quarterly) basis. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two-year degree in accounting or related field, or completion of a specialized course of study, or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum one year of accounting experience required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented
  • Demonstrates initiative/anticipatory skills
  • Effective time management skills; ability to plan and meet deadlines
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience working multiple systems proficiently (Microsoft, Episys)
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Daily Balancing and Reconciliation – 45%
    • Responsible for balancing the Financial Centers’ previous day’s transactions and various subsidiary ledgers  
    • Post journal entries to the General Ledger 
    • Process and reconcile member-impacting items including returned checks, wire transfers, and mobile deposits 
    • Balance and prepare monthly bank reconciliations 
  • Issue Resolution & Department Collaboration – 25%
    • Work closely with other departments in the credit union to research and correct any out-of-balance situations 
    • Support accurate and timely financial reporting 
  • Process Improvement & Efficiency – 15% 
    • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency in reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting 
  • Compliance, Training & Other Duties – 15% 
    • Attend all required training and meetings
    • Handle other duties as assigned
