Consider expanding your capabilities with the BSC and become an integral part of a continuously growing and dynamic team that delivers sustainable value.</p> <h2>Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten</h2> <p>New opportunity for an Accounts Payable Senior Specialist based in our Porto, Portugal Business Support Center (BSC).  AP Senior Specialists are responsible for daily operations and selectively lead process Specialists. Also responsible for conducting process activities and proactively supporting issue resolution or escalating incidents to Team Leads where appropriate, supporting implementation of process improvements, and other change initiatives. </p> <ul> <li>Responsible for execution of operational sub-process according to Team Lead directives</li> <li>Management of vendor master data and inbound documents</li> <li>Recording of PO and non-PO invoices, trigger approvals and schedule payments</li> <li>Management of recurring entries (rent, lease…)</li> <li>Block/unblock invoices on request</li> <li>Generation and review payment proposals (scheduled, automated run)</li> <li>Process (manual) payments/ pre-payments</li> <li>Validation SOX controls</li> <li>Address vendor inquiries and handle disputes and exceptions</li> <li>Performance of PTP reconciliations and period end close activities</li> <li>Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for particular process activities</li> <li>Proactively resolves daily issues and escalates service items to Team Lead</li> <li>Assists with implementation of activities to streamline and standardize, including operational metrics </li> <li>Provide assistance to Team Leads as needed and participate in special projects</li> <li>Perform other duties as required.</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifikationen</h2> <ul> <li>Minimum 3 years Accounts Payables, Accounting work experience required </li> <li>Deep understanding of Accounting and Accounts Payable processes </li> <li>Graduate min.BSc. degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally in written and oral English plus French/ Spanish/ Dutch/ Italian/ German</li> <li>MS Office proficiency with advanced Excel skills and advanced working knowledge of SAP ERP, xSuite</li> <li>Prior work  experience with US GAAP will be an advantage</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work on and own initiatives </li> <li>Proven ability to evaluate situations to determine the importance, urgency, risks and then make clear and timely decisions</li> <li>Self-reliant with ability to escalate appropriately</li> <li>Strong organizational skills with open minded approach and receptive to change</li> <li>Operates at the highest standards of business ethics, honesty, personal integrity, and professionalism.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Bruker is an equal opportunity employer.
