SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking a Emergency Medical Services Supervisor (Battalion Chief) to join our EMS Operations team. This full-time position will work rotating nights.
Purpose of this position: Under the general supervision of the EMS Deputy Chief (Manager) the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Supervisor/Battalion Chief has the authority to direct staff and is responsible for the coordination of daily shift operations. Act as the point of contact for department staff and other public safety agencies in the county, region, and state.
Is responsible for the direct supervision of field and support staff. Responds to incidents in the field that require a supervisory presence. May supervise the EMS Emergency Communication Center and Special Operations staff in the absence of the other EMS Battalion Chiefs (Supervisor)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primarily responsible for Field Operations while functioning as the Battalion Chief including, but not limited to; staff direction and work assignment, vehicle and equipment maintenance, communications, ambulance deployment and response, scheduling and staffing, and problem-solving. May supervise the operations of the Emergency Communications Center and Special Operat
