About the role
A new opportunity awaits to join our exceptional and dedicated guest services team at St. Jude as our Senior Guest Services Representative.
We come to work every day ready to warmly welcome and serve each new patient, family, and caregiver to St. Jude.
This shift is M-F, from 11:30 am - 8 pm, with rotating weekend and holidays, serving as the manager of the day.
Main tasks include:
- Answering the telephones, greeting, assisting and checking families in and out of housing.
- Supporting in the creation and updating of the Guest Service Representative schedules and meeting agenda.
- Archiving the monthly house logs into the electronic database.
- Responsible for maintaining at least 1 of the major supply areas (pantry, apartment supplies, etc.) as directed by supervisor.
- Functioning as the lead trainer for all new Guest Service Representatives.
- Acting as a Manager on Duty as needed.
- Maintaining electronic gaming and/or movie inventory.

Responsibilities:
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, from 11:30 am - 8 pm, as well as rotating weekend and holidays, serving as the manager of the day.
- Completes new family orientations and assists families with the check-out process as needed.
- Creates Family files after the check in process with all required paperwork.
- Assists residents with facility related needs or housing requests to ensure a comfortable, peaceful and healthful environment.
- Prepares monthly front desk schedules.
- Prepares agenda for monthly front desk meeting.
- Controls access into the house and greets/processes visitors.
- Enforces house rules and intervenes when necessary in an appropriate manner.
- Notifies appropriate housing staff of family or patient problems or facility-related problems requiring attention.
- Responds appropriately to any maintenance or family emergency as outlined in the policy and procedure manual.
- Trains new front desk staff on front desk operations and policies.
- Assists with groups and organizations scheduled to provide meals, activities or entertainment for the residents, as needed.
- Acts as a MOD (manager on duty) as needed based on schedule.
- Handles emergencies and other situations that occur in the house. Assists in de-escalating situations that arise among patient family problems. Works directly with the manager on problem-solving with family incidents, problems or concerns that arise at the Front Desk.
- Responsible for creating the weekly pantry shopping list for residents. Assists in the training and scheduling of Pantry Volunteers. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of Pantry Volunteers.
- Maintains DVD and Video Game inventory. Removing outdated or damaged items and adding inventory as purchased and donated.
- Responsible for collecting the monthly house logs and scanning them into the T drive.
- Assures the front desk is stocked with all necessary supplies.
- Ensures all front desk files and forms are up to date.
- Maintains the Approval for 5 and the Lost and Found digital logs and assures all found items are removed to the correct storage.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience in a service-oriented, customer-focused environment,
