Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Mid-Level or Experienced Supply Base Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Oklahoma City, OK or Tukwila, WA.

In this role, you will partner with our Senior Leadership team on program management & strategic business transformation initiatives, to make the company stronger, more competitive and more resilient long term. You will have the chance to define and lead program & project management best practices. You will help drive business planning and decision making, operations, and business insights up and down the BCA value stream.

Position Responsibilities – Mid-Level 3:

• Facilitates supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.
• Develops and participates in the implementation of supply base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies.
• Analyzes and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance data to identify risks, issues and opportunities.
• Develops mitigation plans.
• Identifies and participates in supplier and business improvement activities.
• Provides outcomes for potential integration into contracting strategies.

Position Responsibilities – Experienced Level 4:

• Leads supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.
• Manages and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
• Leads the development of mitigations plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting customers and programs.
• Develops and implements supplier base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies.
• Analyzes supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate into contracting strategies.
• Acts as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers and programs.

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• More than 3 years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Mid-Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experienced Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in program management within supplier management.     
• Experience working with suppliers in a technical capacity.
• Experience in root cause analysis and Corrective action.
• Experience with proposal development and contract negotiations.
• Experience with various contract types for example:  Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus type Government contracts, etc.
• Experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts.
• Experience working in a multi-functional team environment.
• Experience with detailed supplier risk assessment.

Typical Education & Experience:

Mid-Level 3: Education/experience typically 6 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Experienced Level 4: Education/experience typically 10 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
