About the Opportunity
Salsify is seeking a Senior Events Manager to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of our high-impact trade shows and corporate events. This role is critical in driving brand awareness, generating sales pipeline, and creating engaging experiences for customers and prospects.
As a Senior Events Manager, you will own the end-to-end event strategy and execution, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with business objectives. You will work cross-functionally across Marketing, Sales, and Executive teams to develop compelling event experiences, manage complex logistics, and measure event success. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a track record of managing large-scale B2B events in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Event Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy, ensuring alignment with marketing and sales objectives.
- Own the end-to-end event lifecycle, including planning, logistics, execution, and post-event analysis.
- Oversee the development of trade show booths, sponsorships, and marketing activations, ensuring impactful brand presence.
- Manage event staffing, speaker coordination, and audience engagement strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, external vendors, and trade show organizers.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Executive teams to ensure events drive measurable business impact.
- Lead internal teams through pre-event planning, execution, and post-event follow-ups, ensuring alignment with key objectives.
Operational & Budget Management
- Manage event budgets, contracts, and vendor negotiations, ensuring cost efficiency and ROI.
- Oversee all logistical aspects, including venue selection, exhibit design, travel coordination, and on-site execution.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and risk management protocols.
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Develop KPIs and success metrics to evaluate event effectiveness and business impact.
- Conduct post-event reporting, including attendee feedback, pipeline contribution analysis, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Drive continuous innovation in event experiences to enhance engagement and return on investment.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 8+ years of experience in event strategy, trade show management, and corporate event planning, preferably in a SaaS-based B2B technology company.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, high-visibility events with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex logistics, and drive alignment across departments.
- Expertise in budget management, cost optimization, and financial reconciliation.
- Strong ability to strategically problem-solve and make real-time decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing business needs.
- Expected travel: 25% but may increase / fluctuate based on business needs
