Role Overview:
Help Create Life Change Through Second Chances

The Shoe Associate supports the Shoe Team Lead by completing assigned tasks to keep the shoe department stocked, organized, and clean. By maintaining high standards in presentation, quality, and service, this role helps create a joyful thrifting experience through high-quality finds, fair pricing, and friendly service.
Additional tasks may be assigned at times by your supervisor. Consideration will be given to your current workload and duties.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. Task Completion
Completes assigned tasks from the Shoe Team Lead in a timely manner
Follows direction and shift priorities as given
Communicates when tasks are completed or if issues arise
2. Stocking and Organization
Stocks shoes to the sales floor as directed
Keeps shoes organized by size and type
Maintains orderly racks and minimizes clutter
3. Cleaning and Upkeep
Keeps the shoe area clean throughout the shift
Removes trash, loose items, and misplaced product
Maintains a neat and safe work area
4. Basic Quality Control
Checks that shoes are matched and in wearable condition
Pulls out damaged or incomplete items when identified
Brings any concerns to the Shoe Team Lead
5. Register and Store Support
Operates the register when assigned
Completes floater tasks to support other departments as needed
Helps maintain overall store readiness beyond the shoe department
Workplace Environment
Physical Conditions
Work is performed indoors in a fast-paced retail environment.
Exposure to dust, cleaning supplies, changing temperatures, and used goods is common.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive movements
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, either alone or with assistance
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Expect occasional evening, holiday, and weekend shifts.
A minimum of one evening shift and one Saturday shift per month will be scheduled in place of a regular shift.

Desktop Computer Skills
Spreadsheets- Using a computer application to enter, manipulate, and format text and numerical data; insert, delete, and manipulate cells, rows, and columns; and create and save worksheets, charts, and graphs.
Internet- Navigating the Internet to find information, including the ability to open and configure standard browsers; use searches, hypertext references, and transfer protocols; and send and retrieve electronic mail (e-mail).
Navigation- Using scroll bars, a mouse, and dialog boxes to work within the computer's operating system. Being able to access and switch between applications and files of interest.
Word Processing- Using a computer application to type text, insert pictures, format, edit, print, save, and retrieve word processing documents.
Databases- Using a computer application to manage large amounts of information, including creating and editing simple databases, inputting data, retrieving specific records, and creating reports to communicate the information.
Experience/Training Required:
No previous experience or training required.
Compensation/Benefits:
Full-time
This is a non-exempt full-time position. Overtime pay rate applies for time worked over 40 hours per week.
