Position Overview
Provides leadership and oversight to the Business Operations group. Drives business productivity, efficiency and operations through innovation and targeted process improvement. Leverages technology solutions, system enhancements and process reengineering to streamline and improve operational efficiency. Develops and applies data-driven metrics (KPI’s) to evaluate operational effectiveness at the business, regional and ground level. Provides function-specific and/or cross-functional support to enhance business operations effectiveness and efficiency.
- Lead workstream to development of Business Operations processes, methods, and technologies across the Americas.
- Sets and influences processes, methods and technologies.
- Deliver projects that achieve business, functional and operational goals; and, at the same time, overcome constraints imposed by internal stakeholders, budgets and competing priorities.
- Works with business and functional leaders to identify business profitability and productivity improvement opportunities. Defines and sets up high priority projects, acquiring necessary resources and ensures project decision-making is aligned with strategic and business objectives.
- Directs and/or leads cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions to complex operational problems.
- Benchmarks internally and externally, as an input to identify improvement opportunities. Monitors industry to identify trends and spot project activity that offers potential business advantage or poses a competitive threat.
Qualifications
- A strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in improving Operations with tangible examples of delivering cost and service level improvements
- Strong business process improvement and continuous improvement knowledge, using a data-driven approach.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, utilizing statistical information. Ability to deal with limited data quality to drive actionable insights.
- Leadership skills with a proven track record of convincing others through written and spoken communications. Able to communicate to front-line staff and management team, as well as C-level stakeholders.
