Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to operate the laser and Press Brake at an intermediate level.
• Uses EPICOR system to record job times and quantities.
• Use suction hoist and lift bridge to insert and remove material.
• Adjust machine setting to complete tasks according to specifications and production demands.
• Verifies dimensions of workpiece to determine accuracy of machine, per Training Checklist.
• Grinds or laps burrs from edges of workpiece.
• Organize parts for the next process.
• Maintain equipment and perform daily inspections of equipment.
• Keep grates clean and replace as necessary.
• Operation of various hand‐operated tools related to steel fabrication.
• Willing to learn and operator laser machine and plasma table.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior forklift and operator experience a plus.
• Basic mathematics skills and be able to read a measuring tape.
• Team oriented
• Communication skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
• Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Works in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals.  Employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at the location.
