The Team You’ll Work With
You’ll join a diverse team of Designers, Engineers, and Product Managers who are focused on delivering great experiences for our users across all of Carta’s products. As a designer on the Stakeholder Management team you will be working as part of Carta’s broader cap table team and will collaborate in creating efficient and seamless cross-platform journeys for our users while furthering the next strategic paradigm for the platform as a whole. You will be supported by Product Designers and Design Technologists across the organization and will be able to leverage the full range of resources that our Design organization has to offer.
The Problems You’ll Solve
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who is passionate about helping businesses and their employees succeed in their missions by helping them run more effectively. As a Senior Product Designer on our team, you will:
- Collaborate closely with Design and Product Leadership to define features and contribute to the overall direction of your product area
- Deeply understand user needs and drive alignment around core platform concepts by creating models, concept diagrams, workflow diagrams, and journey maps
- Work with Product, Engineering, Customer Support and Product Marketing to represent the design team, facilitate design discussions, and give feedback in planning and product discussions
- Create and validate designs through sketches, prototypes, and testing
- Determine the information architecture and flow for your product features
- Create high-fidelity visuals and specifications for your final solutions
- Work with partners to help summarize and communicate research findings to inform our decisions and build an even greater understanding of and empathy for our customers
- Solicit feedback early and often from your peers, including other product designers and teammates in your product team. Participate in weekly design syncs with the design team
- Help maintain our design system with other product designers and advocate for scalable design solutions
The Impact You’ll Have
You will be joining our Stakeholder Management team that defines and builds workflows to manage employee and other stakeholders’ equity on the cap table. This includes key strategic areas that enable most of Carta’s downstream products. You’ll be tasked with ensuring best-in-class UX while reimagining the product to better fit our user’s needs. Furthermore, you’ll be looking to bring new advances in machine learning and automation to market, increasing ease and efficiency for our businesses.
About You
We are looking for a strong designer to envision the future of stakeholder management at Carta — someone who can help drive design strategy, ideation, prioritization, problem solving, and design delivery. If you are passionate about building intuitive solutions that simplify complexity, we would love to talk with you.
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of professional work experience in an individual contributor role, on a Product Design team
- Background in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field/equivalent experience
