Job Description

Location: Remote

Overview of the Role:

The Director works within our Analytics team leveraging the Snowflake healthcare data platform to collaboratively solve business problems through technical leadership and building scalable, high-quality data solutions. 

Primary Job Duties:

  • Deliver value in the form of timely, high quality, performant software components and services
  • Collaborate with Analytics, IT, and operational team stakeholders to plan and define requirements
  • Evaluate current state and identify new solutions to increase efficiency and performance
  • Investigates new technologies, shares knowledge with the team and introduces these new technologies as applicable to the team
  • Lead and mentor other team members in DW best practices and development processes, including automation, validation, quality assurance, and monitoring/alerting
  • Apply a thorough understanding of the healthcare data, structure, and business logic to effectively solve problems
  • Investigate data discrepancies and errors and determine the best resolution
  • Elevate data governance within Privia, developing structure and process 
  • Identify skills gaps, mentor junior analysts and delegate work to IT where appropriate
  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Deliver timely, well written, well designed, testable, efficient code
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with designing, architecting, and implementing data warehouses
  • 3+ years’ experience with relevant scripting languages or programming frameworks desired (Snowflake, SQL, Python)
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as MicroStrategy
  • Understands the business value of your work
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare data
  • Experience designing data management processes and standards for metadata management, data architecture, data quality, and data security.
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and non-technical stakeholders 
  • Ability to create compelling visual presentations that tell a story
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities with a track record of identifying insights from quantitative and qualitative data
  • Ability to translate unstructured business, clinical, and contractual concepts into a structured process to query data, with keen sense of how to balance accuracy and efficiency
  • Works collaboratively in a fast-paced, unstructured environment, managing competing deadlines, and adapts to evolving responsibilities 
  • Inquisitive, driven, self-starter who takes initiative and knows when to seek guidance
