Community Manager (Instagram & TikTok) 

Gather is on a mission to convert the extraordinary surplus created by Gen AI into something very concrete: one full day of free time for every human on earth. We are accomplishing this mission by building a consumer AI assistant (Genie) that handles universal tasks like managing time, schedules, and family obligations. 

The alpha version of Genie just became available 5 weeks ago (!) In your first 30 days, we want you to build a flourishing community on Instagram of excited alpha users (the “Launch Crew”) who get to influence our product direction and see the impact of their contributions in near-real-time. 

Ultimately, you’ll own strategy and execution for our user communities across relevant platforms, including being the internal expert on platforms and trends, implementing tooling and metrics tracking, and advocating for our users within the larger org as the front line listener who is most closely engaged with our community of users and potential users.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a dialogue between Gather and our Instagram/TikTok followers

• Collaborate directly with the product team to conduct research via the community

• Serve as creative director – you will tell the marketing/design team what type of content you need and when (and you’ll also create content yourself, especially in the early days)

• Grow organic followings on Instagram and Tiktok exponentially

• Build out a formal “user listening” program, surfacing your insights to the marketing and product teams.

• Provide daily user support via comments/DMs/email

• Maintain all other corporate channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube)

Qualifications

• Experience with social media management and analytic tools

• Excellent understanding of engagement benchmarks

• 2 years experience running an instagram page on behalf of a brand or influencer

• Experience building a community or following from scratch

• Cutting wit & solid judgment – you will be given full authority to post on Gather and Genie’s behalf, respond to comments, and engage on other pages

• Serious Reel/TikTok skills

• Experience with project management across a company (ideally a startup)

• You love ownership and aren’t afraid to take the initiative
