Role Overview:
The Business Systems Analyst role will require skills in business analysis, systems analysis, documentation of business requirements, solution recommendation, and decision making. This role must possess an understanding of insurance industry products, especially Annuities and/or Disability Insurance. The ideal candidate has worked on several projects from the SDLC, starting with requirements gathering through the successful implementation of said projects.
What You’ll Do:
• Interact with business, conduct analysis and document business processes, functions, capabilities, requirements, etc., enabled by IT
• Performs a liaison between the business and IT Services
• Translate and simplify requirements
• Verify that the implemented solution meets the requirements
• Identify and articulate the need for change and assessing the impact of the change
• Analyze and interpret business and user requirements into functional requirements and specifications that have an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by the development implementation teams.
• Solicit client requirements using walk-through, document analysis, storyboards, use case scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
• Write clear and concise requirements ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable.
• Support project managers to ensure key deliverables are met in an accurate timely manner assisting in the troubleshooting of problems and issues; make recommendations and provide alternative solutions when it applies.
• Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
What You’ll Bring:
• Bachelor degree with relevant experience required
• 3+ years of business analysis/systems analysis experience
• Previous experience working in the insurance industry and Annuities space
• Knowledge of CRM capability and functionality within a service center
• Experience in working in a team-based agile development environment
• Strong written, verbal and communication skills with the demonstrative ability to work with all levels within the organization
• Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills. Accuracy and attention to details are required
• Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
• Interprets business challenges, identifies trends and recommends best practices
• Explains difficult or sensitive information; collaborates with others to build consensus
• Makes decisions that have cross-functional impact
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $62,400-$102,500
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
