Job Description

The Opportunity: 

The Senior Director will managing the overall PMO group for the Next Gen Finance project.  This senior director will also create and lead the Business Process Automation team under the Next Gen Finance project at Mattel.  He/she will work closely with 15 workstream leads, regional leadership teams and the NextGen Vice President. The NextGen Finance program aims to modernize the global finance function by changing the way we work and transforming processes.

The candidate should have a solid background in Business Process Automation and leading large scale ERP implementations.  The ability to create an organization, make roadmaps, and then execute. The ability quickly learn systems and the ability to translate business requirements.   In addition, they should have excellent communication skills, the ability to lead and summarize decision making to executives.  Experience in transformation is a plus.   Experience with Business Process Automation tools. Experience with Oracle Fusion cloud for financials is a plus.  The ideal candidate has a proven track record of process improvement. Lean training is a plus

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • In this role, the candidate will have PMOs from the Next Gen Finance Program and will lead the overall program management. 
  • The candidate will prepare executive level summary presentations, identify and escalate risks, and assist in overseeing the overall budget for Next Gen Finance.
  • In addition, the candidate will create an organization of world class Business Process Automation Analysts. The candidate will be part of a team that collaborates with and leads decision making with accounting, technical, and other finance and business integration teams to deliver world class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible.
  • Manage regional stakeholders, including leadership in region to assist with Business Process Automation
  • Manage and execute the Lean Finance Initiative.
  • Collaborate with Program Manager and Systems Implementor to understand program priorities, especially around localizations.  Assist in Prioritizing decisions, risks, and issues as they arise on the project. Investigate the risks and report back to executive leadership.
  • Create a roadmap and execution plan for the BPA
  • Possess strong experience in Finance business functions to make sound resourcing decisions.
  • Produce and present executive level presentations on BPA.
  • Manage a high degree of change in a fast paced, complex, and demanding environment.
  • Lead and direct work of others who do not directly report to you but whose input and cooperation is needed on the project.
  • Manage in region test cycles, assisting with the coordination of resources, locations, assignments, and overall responsibility for the leading to a successful test cycle.
  • This role will be the business owner of BPA influencing and making decisions about the future of the product and processes.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 15+ years of experience managing progressively complex and challenging projects and/or programs
  • Demonstrated business acumen with well-developed planning and analytical skills, using a global perspective
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships, influence decisions and drive results through partnerships at all levels
  • Experience leading ERP implementations and data conversion teams.
  • Strong initiative and ability to bring order to ambiguity
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to drive projects to completion
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to lead complex projects from concept through to implementation
  • Ability to function effectively in a highly charged executive environment, and the ability to discern when to act independently
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion cloud for financials a plus
  • Experience with Business Process Automation tools. (Such as Uipath, Automation Anywhere, Celonis, Conexium, etc) 
  • Demonstrated success managing large, cross functional teams in a very dynamic and fast paced environment
