About this role:
The Sr. Product Technology Owner is responsible for the successful implementation of critical Revenue & Deal Operation Products (Salesforce, Conga & Zuora) including developing and setting the strategy for success of these products. This role will also be accountable for the success of on-time, quality delivery of large, complex projects as needed, which is inclusive of the management of scope, benefits realization, and stakeholder satisfaction. The Senior Product Owner will ensure that projects are planned and executed in a manner consistent with company strategy, commitments, goals, and standards.
What you’ll do:
- Responsible and accountable for all dependencies both across RDO (Revenue & Deal Operations) Products and internal cross impacted teams, ensuring owners are accountable to deliver against the program goals
- Works as a leader to remove the impediments for the scrum team and encouraged strong communication and process between product and technology groups
- Active drives change as being a change agent and assists with scope change management governance activities at a program level, ensuring requests align to overall strategy and deliverables and meet the needs of the product delivery.
- Owns and is accountable for significant reporting activities to our Senior Leaders and maintains operational/functional measures through others
- Builds and maintains relationships within business and technical departments/areas to ensure key team members and stakeholders are aligned
- Foster a secure and trusting environment that encourages open communication of issues which can be addressed with collaborative problem solving
- Leads the team in activities associated with complex projects of varying types and sizes, applying the appropriate project management principles, techniques, and methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall) tailored to the individual project to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Works with business and product owners and IT managers to ensure that project scope is fully defined, managed and controlled. This includes identifying scope exclusions, tracking business and technical assumptions and communicating constraints
- Oversees and conducts project team and stakeholder meetings, appropriately elevating issues of scope and schedule, and customization for executive-level review and disposition
- Partners with resource managers to build a resource plan and manages a matrixed team comprised of onshore, offshore, full-time and contractor team members
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple project deliverables
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with 8+ years of project management experience developing project charters, plans, work breakdown structures; risk and issue resolution; and sprint, test, and release planning
- Management of teams in both matrix and project-team organized environments
- Critical thinking with excellent judgment and initiative
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Scrum Master certification and training in Agile methodologies is highly desired
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence a plus
- Strong leadership skills (clear direction, respect, consistency, decisiveness, accountability, conviction, cooperation)
