Job Description
The Inside Sales representative serves as the laboratory’s primary point of contact for client service and/or sales related activities. Will involve working onsite at the lab doing inside sales (calls/emails) along with 3-5 visits to client sites per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Become knowledgeable of Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) services, industry terminology and company operations
- Become proficient in use of all aspects of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), especially sales and client related activity
- Serving as the laboratories’ primary point of contact for client service and/or sales related activities
- Identify new opportunities and customers and maintain order frequency through phone and email. Follow up with inbound leads daily and develop a working knowledge of accounts
- Responsible for managing accounts through the entire sales process including quoting, taking orders
- Utilize CRM software with existing and future customers; maintain pertinent account details - record each customer contact (fax. phone, email or in person date and time of call, nature of inquiry, and time/confirmation of completion
- Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities
- Maintain CRM database of prospective clients and opportunities
- Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics
- Closing sales and working with client through closing process
- Work in conjunction with sales department providing information to or about new and existing clients
- Provide support to outside sales – quoting, bid preparation, lead management
- Deliver qualified opportunities tor team members
- Identify potential opportunities for outside sales to recover lost services
- Respond to all inbound sales calls and client services related issues in a timely manner
- Provide superior customer service and assist with related duties
- Advising clients in a professional manner of any scheduling conflicts, possible delays, or other problems which may arise
- Generating and reviewing of reports/EDDs (Electronic Data Deliverables) as necessary prior to release
- Record and respond to customer requests and concerns while implementing an “on time” tracking system for in-house projects according to account assignment. Act as communicator between labs, administrative areas and clients
- Communicates client information or requests to labs, sales, sample management, field services, QA, accounting/billing, or QC management when specific request is outside customer service representative’s area of expertise, or when appropriate department is unavailable for client request. This includes completion of appropriate forms to facilitate sample container preparation and delivery, sample pickup, rush sample notification, complaint forms and requests for price quotation, result interpretation, or analysis recheck and review
Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):
- Education: BS/BA in Chemistry, Sciences, Marketing, or related field (four years experience may substitute for a degree)
- Experience: 2+ years inside sales or customer service experience preferred
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
