Starting Pay: $23-26/hr + Hiring Bonus + Overtime.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the direction of crew activities on job site, according to pre-established schedules, standards and procedures to provide a high quality of service, as directed by Area Manager.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand and implement job specifications for each site
- Assign daily tasks to crew members and ensure compliance
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including, but not limited to: mowing, edging, blowing, bed grooming, pruning, fertilizing and leaf pick up
- Routinely monitor sites for quality and follow up with crews on performance improvements. Communicate continuing concerns to Area Manager
- Conduct and oversee execution of minor Enhancement projects performed at the crew level
- Complete daily paperwork timely and accurately
- Assess equipment operation issues and effectively communicate repair needs to shop personnel
- Supervise safe loading and unloading of equipment
- Assist Area Manager with initial and on-going training of crews
- Assess skill level and work behavior of employees and provide recommendations to Area Manager regarding professional development, performance evaluation and promotional opportunities
- Ensure adherence to company policies
- Develop and maintain a positive work relationship with Area Manager, peers, and subordinates
- Encourage and maintain safe working conditions by promoting Company’s “Culture of Safety”, including but not limited to reinforcing bi-weekly safety tailgate meetings and ensuring proper personal protective equipment usage
Qualifications:
Education
- At least 3-5 years related work experience
Language Skills
- Ability to communicate in English
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
- Valid Driver License in state where employed
- Commercial Pesticide Applicators License preferred
