As Head of Corporate Strategic Planning, you will help shape Vestas’ future direction by driving the development of our Corporate Strategy, leading the annual strategic planning cycle, and ensuring execution of our strategy. The Corporate Strategy team partners with Vestas’ CEO and Executive Management Team to identify strategic choices that strengthen competitiveness, accelerate value creation, and support long-term growth. We operate globally across the five Vestas Regions and the value chain with high autonomy, accountability, exposure and focus from top management.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to Jacob Lihn, SVP, Head of Corporate Strategy, Global Intelligence and M&A, you will:
- Own and orchestrate Vestas’ annual global strategic planning cycle, including the alignment between strategy, financial planning, capital allocation, and corporate priorities.
- Challenge the status quo and provide independent strategic perspectives on performance improvement opportunities, emerging risks and transformational priorities
- Lead the development and evolution of Vestas’ Corporate Strategy, identifying strategic choices that strengthen competitiveness, accelerate value creation, and support long-term growth.
- Facilitate strategic alignment across regions, business areas, and functions, enabling a coherent enterprise-wide direction and resource allocation decisions.
- Oversee the agendas for the Executive Strategy Offsites and the annual Board of Directors Strategy Seminar
- Drive strategy execution and performance follow-up, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into measurable actions and deliver intended outcomes.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we expect you to bring:
- A strong strategy background combined with outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or in-house strategy roles within complex, global organizations e.g. within capital goods, energy or utilities.
- University degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or similar
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic planning processes and managing a complex stakeholder gallery
- Comfortable interacting with senior and executive management; directing decisions and guiding complex discussions in an efficient, fact-based manner
- A comprehensive understanding of the finance domain is required, as the position collaborates closely with financial planning functions
- Extensive knowledge of industry dynamics from financial, competitive, operational, and regulatory perspectives
- Experience of working in a complex, dynamic and international corporate culture
- Proficient English communication skills (written and spoken)

Additional Information
This position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark where you will be part of our team consisting of Corporate Strategy, M&A and Global Intelligence professionals. You will work closely with colleagues across the company globally, incl. Executive Management, regional and functional stakeholders. The role requires the ability to work on-site on a weekly basis.
