Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of developers, designers and business analysts to design, develop and maintain SQL server databases.
- Develop and implement complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers and functions to support software applications.
- Identify and resolve database performance issues, such as slow running queries, inefficient database design, etc.
- Work with technical and business teams to gather and analyze requirements for new databases or database modifications.
- Develop and maintain database backups, disaster recovery plans and security policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues reported by end users or application support teams.
- Continuously learn and explore new technologies and techniques to improve database performance, reliability and scalability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in maintenance and development, including advanced capabilities using SSMS, T-SQL, and SSIS. Able to analyze and create detailed SQL code, and to use MS tools available to ensure solid query performance.
- Comfortable with extremely complex development projects. Able to implement in and/or infer from code bases complicated business rules with multiple layers of processing and multiple output formats.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, familiar with Sprints / Scrums
- Experience within a Healthcare setting
- Strong skills in run support for multiple large and complex datasets, Ability to support, monitor jobs, and to troubleshoot job errors or warnings when needed.
- Experience with Epic Clarity, especially the ability to reengineer processes/interfaces to pull directly from these applications, is highly desirable.
