Overall Purpose:

Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of human resource information systems (HRIS) associated with the collection and usage of employee information for Human Resource department planning and activities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborates with Human Resources, Payroll and other Business Units, vendors, and/or internal information systems staff to design new or modify existing human resource information systems to meet changing requirements. Serves as HR department liaison to the IT function. Recommends, implements, and plans for improvements, enhancements to the systems in support of the business functions. Makes decisions relating to project management, change management or leadership in the introduction of new technology in support of HR functions. Possesses comprehensive Human Resource knowledge and Information Technology skills. Performs various Information Technology roles such as analysis, development, testing, deployment, data base management, configuration and on-going support. Manages internal data base and works with vendors and internal IT staff to provide Human Resources staff with the data and tools to support decision making. Develops and manages appropriate system and process documentation. This position will have access to highly confidential information and compliance with AT&T data security guidelines is required. Job Contribution: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of varying factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Makes decisions under uncertain conditions and works independently.

Education: Typically Bachelors of Arts or Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may be required.

Experience: Typically 5 - 8 years of experience in a related field.

Supervisory: No.
