Lead Solutions Architect –Enterprise Services Engineering

We are seeking a Lead Solutions Architect within Enterprise Integration Architecture to join our team of technology professionals. You will design, develop, and support the integration and data architecture for key business applications such as Ecomm, CRM, Supply Chain, and 3rd-party integrations. In this role, you’ll define integration architecture standards, oversee governance, and collaborate with engineers and business teams to address challenges and recommend strategic improvements. You’ll also work closely with other architects to ensure future integration needs align with business goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with collaborators, leadership, and product owners to understand the integration needs for shared and channel services engineering.
- Carry out integration/data governance policies, standards, and best practices to maintain quality and compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration architecture standards, patterns, and integration processes, ensuring they are always visible to all parties.
- Influence business collaborators, team members, data owners, modelers, engineers, and analysts to recommend solutions that support a strategic and holistic approach to software integration and management.
- Define integration data flows, i.e., which parts of the organization generate data, which require data to function, how data flows are managed, and how data changes in transition.
- Design forward facing and pragmatic integration solutions aimed at keeping complexity low and encouraging iterative delivery of value.
- Ensure data security and compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Stay ahead of emerging Integration technologies and make recommendations for adoption to enhance integration architecture as needed.
- Collaborate internally and across departments with peers to deliver products/solutions that align to Ferguson’s strategic vision.
- Prepare detailed design specifications from which programs/applications/configurations will be implemented.
- End-to-end ownership of solutions, ensure accuracy and completeness of solution by having recurring check points / audit loops with technical implementation teams.
- Responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting sophisticated problems and providing solutions to overcome those problems using the latest technologies.
- Complete architectural reviews of projects.
- Complete design and code reviews.
- Review team practices to identify areas of improvement.
- Work with vendors to resolve 3rd level support or project issues.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field preferred.
- Must have at least 8+ years of hands-on experience working in integrations with a breadth of knowledge and experience on how integrations work within and across different business domains.
- Developed innovative architectural designs for large commercial Enterprises (5000+ Associates) with sophisticated integrations across various platforms and applications.
- Expert level experience defining the system architecture, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering comprehensive solutions that will achieve desired business outcomes.
