Your New Role...

The Sr. Manager Strategy and Business Development will be responsible for providing strategic direction, owning key strategic planning activities and driving initiatives that contribute to the growth of GCP. The primary focus will be to develop and execute business plans and execution roadmaps to expand market presence, improve operational efficiencies and drive revenue growth.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Lead the strategic development process and implementation of strategic initiatives to drive long-term growth and global market expansion.
  • Prioritize and execute key GCP growth initiatives by managing business case development, action plans, and evaluating operating considerations.
  • Partner with commercial teams to identify and evaluate new business models, strategic partnerships and emerging digital opportunities.
  • Create and implement expansion strategies for key international markets, supporting go-to-market planning, localization, and operations to align with global business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and data analysis to identify emerging trends, retail shifts, customer needs, and competitive threats.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and in-depth analyses for Sr leadership that synthesizes complex information and supports data driven recommendations.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions and process improvements that enhance cross-departmental collaboration, operational efficiency, and margin growth.
  • Cultivate strong cross-functional relationships by working closely with other departments such as franchise, category, retail, international, and corporate strategy.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous learning.

Qualifications & Experience...

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in consulting, strategic planning and business development
  • MBA or comparable consulting firm experience required
  • Consumer Products, Licensing, & Retail industry experience a plus

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • MBA is a plus

Knowledge/Skills

  • High-performing individual with strong business acumen and ability to execute on a wide range of projects.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Leading through influence: Ability to build strong relationships, gain consensus, and tailor communications to a broad range of audiences.
  • Experience with strategic and business planning.
  • Strong project management and operational efficiency expertise.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills, including ability to "tell a story" and support data driven decision making.
  • Strong presentation skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver on multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines and be effective and decisive under pressure.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, high tolerance for ambiguity and transformative culture.
  • Experience in media, licensing, retail, or consumer products sectors preferred, but not required.
