Part-Time Store Cashier/Stocker

<p>ALDI is looking for enthusiastic part-time cashiers and stockers. As a cashier, you’ll provide friendly, efficient checkout service, while as a stocker, you’ll help keep shelves stocked and organized to ensure a great shopping experience. Each role plays an important part in maintaining smooth store operations and delivering an excellent customer shopping experience.</p> <p><strong>Position Type:</strong> Part-Time <br/><strong>Average Hours:</strong> Fewer than 30 hours per week<br/><strong>Starting Wage:</strong> $18.00 per hour<br/><strong>Wage Increases: </strong>Year 2 - $18.50| Year 3 - $19.00 | Year 4 - $19.00 | Year 5 - $20.00</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities: <br/></strong>Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.</p> <p>• Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary.<br/>• Assists store management in achieving operational efficiency goals.<br/>• Assists store management in achieving total loss goals.<br/>• Complies with all established company policies and processes.<br/>• Supports store management in providing a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order.<br/>• Maintains store zones standards and merchandising standards at all times.<br/>• Adheres to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.<br/>• Performs general cleaning tasks to company standards.</p> <p><strong>Cashier Responsibilities: </strong></p> <p>• Properly utilizes the point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and informs store management of scanning concerns or errors.<br/>• Adheres to cash policies and procedures.<br/>• Follows the line policy and opens additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout.<br/>• Complete curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items from the store, verifying order contents, and ensuring timely delivery to customers’ vehicles from the staging area.</p> <p><strong>Stocker Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>• Stocks shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms to maximize sales.<br/>• Stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am.</p> <p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p> <p>• Required to push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move from one area to another.<br/>• Required to lift, carry, and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead.<br/>• Required to operate equipment such as a cash register, electric and manual hand jacks, floor scrubber and cardboard baler.<br/>• Required to stock product in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.<br/>• Required to use glass and multipurpose cleaning products.</p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <p>• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.<br/>• Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.<br/>• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.<br/>• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.<br/>• Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.<br/>• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.<br/>• Ability to work both independently and with others.<br/>• Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes.<br/>• Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.<br/>• Ability to meet availability requirements.</p> <p><strong>Education and Experience:<br/><br/></strong><strong></strong>• At least 18 years old required.<br/>• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.<br/>• Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.</p><p>ALDI offers <strong>competitive wages and benefits,</strong> to all employees including:</p><ul><li>401(k) Plan</li><li>Company 401(k) Matching Contributions</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li><li>PerkSpot National Discount Program</li></ul><p>In addition, <strong>full-time employees</strong> are offered:</p><ul><li>Medical, Prescription, Dental &amp; Vision Insurance</li><li>Generous Vacation Time &amp; 7 Paid Holidays</li><li>Up to 6 Weeks Paid Parental Leave at 100% of pay</li><li>Up to 2 Weeks Paid Caregiver Leave at 100% of pay</li><li>Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance</li><li>Life, Dependent Life and AD&amp;D Insurance</li><li>Voluntary Term Life Insurance</li></ul><p><i>*Full-time employees average 30 or more hours per week within an annual lookback period</i></p><p><i>**Benefits offered to full-time and part-time employees may vary by state</i></p><a href="https://careers.aldi.us/benefits">Click here to learn more about the benefits ALDI has to offer</a><br/><br/><p><i>ALDI is committed to equal opportunity for all empl
