<p><strong>Associate Consultant, Strategy &amp; Communications</strong></p> <p><strong>Teneo Netherlands</strong></p> <p>Teneo Netherlands is looking for a talented and driven Associate Consultant (AC) with a passion for business, campaigning, and corporate communications to join our team. Teneo is an integrated CEO consulting and advisory firm, providing all aspects of integrated, strategic counsel in management consulting, strategy &amp; communications, financial advisory, people advisory and risk advisory to business leaders and CEOs. This role is primarily to support Teneo’s strategy &amp; communications practice, joining a thriving team advising high-profile clients on how to create effective narratives, build positive media and stakeholder relationships and tell proactive stories which support a businesses’ strategic objectives.</p> <p>We’re interested in meeting candidates with wide-ranging perspectives, and we’re open to hearing from you whether you currently work agency side, or in-house.</p> <p>It’s key for us that you can cut across sectors and switch seamlessly between all our disciplines, from reactive issues management to proactive storytelling. And we’d love it if, like us, you’re intellectually curious, creative, collaborative, and eager to learn.</p> <p>As an AC you’ll be the linchpin for our client account teams – displaying strong project and time management skills, delivering regular insight and analysis, staying ahead of the news agenda, and supporting on clients’ reputational and strategic objectives. ACs manage and coach our Trainee Executives and work into and learn from our Managing Directors, Associate Directors, Senior Consultants and Consultants.</p> <h2>Working at Teneo</h2> <p>Teneo works with some of the world’s biggest brands across a wide range of sectors and issues, including energy, tech, FMCG and financial services. The office is in its scale-up phase, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and can-do approach to building the business.</p> <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2> <p>As an Associate Consultant at Teneo, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Be reliable and responsive with a positive attitude and willingness to get involved without waiting to be asked;</li> <li>Understand the importance of managing deadlines and proactively communicating about progress against them;</li> <li>Demonstrate excellent attention to detail;</li> <li>Provide monitoring on clients and their competitors, using a variety of inputs and tools – resulting in useful insights and advice on implications for clients;</li> <li>Build a strong network of effective relationships internally and externally;</li> <li>Seek opportunities for growth on client accounts and support on writing new business proposals;</li> <li>Provide constructive day to day feedback and coaching to more junior members of the team;</li> <li>Be a positive, flexible and ambitious team player.</li> </ul> <h2>Skills and Experience</h2> <ul> <li>Around 1 - 4 years’ experience in a communications, public affairs or current affairs related role, within agency or in-house</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communications skills</li> <li>Strong media relations instincts</li> <li>Experience generating good quality research and presenting insights in a useable and engaging way</li> <li>Ability to build solid client relationships and make valuable contributions in internal and external meetings</li> <li>Strong ability to grasp clients’ business objectives and relevant wider industry dynamics</li> <li>Enthusiasm about creativity and campaigning</li> </ul> <h2>What we can offer</h2> <p>New joiners are supported by an induction programme, and continuous development is a key focus of life at Teneo - learning and knowledge sharing are at the heart of this.
