Adventist HealthCare Acute Care Rehabilitation seeks to hire a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will:
•Assist staff with treatments under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist.
•Provide clerical support and maintain supplies and equipment under the direction of the immediate supervisor, clinic coordinator, manager or Director and clinical staff.
•Prepare and clean-up of patient treatment sessions.
•Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the physical therapist.
•Complete documentation related to patient care.
•Analyze and manage patient information.
•Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
•Perform operational tasks in response to needs of the department.
•Demonstrate efficient patient scheduling and rehab care management to maximize productivity; accurate and timely charge entry.
•Maintain an environment conducive to patient care and patient/staff safety.
•Perform principal duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the organization’s mission, vision, values and goals.
•Contribute to clinical programming according to the needs of patients and the community.
Qualifications include:
•Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
•Maryland Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure
•Minimum of one year’s experience in fitness, hospital therapy, or other similar patient care area
•Site specific experience preferred
•Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Work Schedule:
Per diem minimum commitment of two weekends shifts per month along with Holiday rotation.
Must be available weekdays for intensive department orientation/training.
