Job Description

Strategy Plus, AECOM’s design consulting studio operates at the intersection of Business Transformation, Communications Dynamics, and Place Strategies.

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and talented applicant who possess outstanding technical, analytical, communication and design skills in the areas of business strategy, operations planning, programming, business planning, project management, organizational change management and digital transformation.

The successful candidate will join our multidisciplinary team of talented designers and be responsible for supporting our management consulting and strategic advisory projects across all industries and business segments in which AECOM operates.

The job responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Working with Strategy+ leadership and collaborating with market, geographic and other discipline leaders in identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and signing new work.

  • Ability to manage and advise clients in solving complex challenges, working with a large number of stakeholders, and developing business and operational strategies.

  • Scoping and managing projects to drive strategic goals through business transformation, change management, and digital transformation of large organizations or agencies.

  • Lead cross functional teams and manage junior and intermediate business strategists to create and implement multifaceted business strategies for clients.

  • Master Planning, space programming, schematic design, detailed design and construction documentation.

  • Produce written explanations of complex data and design concepts. Translate and apply operating procedures, accreditation requirements, health and safety requirements, environmental needs and building codes into space planning and design.

  • Under limited supervision, responsible for the creation of work plans and task definitions.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business, Architecture, Public policy, Planning, Design, or Social science.
  • 5+ years of experience and understanding or analysis of client business practices and goals; develops and formulates solutions to client problems on assigned projects.
  • Experience with large capital programs with experience in project, program, or portfolio management.
  • Experience with capacity building, workforce development, and infrastructure related work for municipalities, universities, and corporations.
  • Experience with Architecture programs including organizational and readiness assessments, project management information systems, and commercial management.
  • Experience in user research, operations and process planning, design strategy, space programming.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign). Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, Power BI data manipulation and analytics.

Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (NY locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $128,000.
