The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Procurement Administrative, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by being the site lead for vendors where you will communicate and assist in all aspects of purchasing from PO/lease creations to payments; working directly with site leadership, corporate sourcing, and vendors for cost comparisons and savings opportunities to reduce spending; and tracking, monitoring and updating supply, maintenance and all site operational costs and provide data as requested.
- Follows a variety of generally defined procedures within sourcing areas such as raw materials, supplies, equipment, services, process/transactional, etc. Generally, assignments are made up of a series of activities with some short-term projects. The scope for discretion requires judgment to handle a variety of activities, conditions, processes, or operations. Sets own work priorities in cooperation with the manager/supervisor. Incumbent is expected to offer suggestions for improvement to methods and processes.
- Provides guidance or training to co-workers within the same work group on routine support duties, technical requirements, protocol, policy and procedures.
- Handles problems which require identifying some solutions, selecting from alternative courses of action, with greater adaptation to circumstances as necessary. Most complex problem solving may require gathering facts, analyzing the information, and determining the appropriate solution from multiple options.
- Has a major impact on the support activities of the direct work group/team and begins to affect related activities within connected work groups/teams.
- Acts as department support expert by providing interpretation of support procedures and processes.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED AND one (1) years of warehouse experience
AND
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience working with JDA
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience with SAP
- Five (5) years of warehouse experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Prompt and professional communication
Work location: Onsite in Forest City, Iowa
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
