ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Media Relations guru to join our Communications team. This role will be instrumental in shaping and maintaining our public image, managing media engagements, and delivering key messages that align with our strategic objectives. 

Some of the key responsibilities you can expect include the following: 

Media Strategy and Engagement 

• Build and maintain high-level relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers, focusing on securing coverage in Tier 1 outlets within the energy, technology, crypto, finance, and digital infrastructure sectors. 

• Proactively identify and execute opportunities for media coverage, ensuring consistent and elevated visibility for the company. 

Public Relations Strategy 

• Develop and lead PR campaigns that position the company as a leader in energy, data center development and operations, technological innovation, AI, and Bitcoin mining. 

• Collaborate with the leadership team to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. 

Crisis Communications 

• Serve as a strategic advisor in high-stakes or sensitive situations, managing media inquiries and crafting messaging that protects and enhances the company’s reputation. 

Brand Building 

• Drive efforts to position the company and members of the leadership team as thought leaders in the industry, identifying and securing opportunities for live appearances, speaking engagements, and thought leadership contributions. 

Media Monitoring 

• Continuously track industry news, trends, and coverage of the company and competitors to inform and adapt communication strategies. 

Event Support 

• Lead media outreach and logistics for high-profile events, including press conferences, trade shows, and leadership appearances. 

Collaboration 

• Partner with marketing, investor relations, and executive teams to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across all channels. 

ABOUT YOU

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. 

• 6+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications, preferably in the tech, crypto, or infrastructure industries. 

• Demonstrated ability to pitch and secure high-profile media coverage, including experience with Tier 1 outlets. 

• Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of crafting compelling narratives. 

• Familiarity with media monitoring platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Cision) and social media analytics tools. 

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

• A proactive, creative, and resourceful mindset with a results-oriented approach. 

Preferred:

• Deep knowledge of energy, data center, AI, and Bitcoin mining spaces, with existing relationships at top media outlets in these sectors. 

• Proven ability to lead brand-building efforts, including positioning leadership teams as industry thought leaders.
