Software Engineer 3 - Senior Member Technical Staff

 

This position is onsite/hybrid in our Pleasanton, CA office - remote option is not available for this role.

Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence platform (FDI) is the next generation of Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse built for Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, bringing together business data, ready-to-use analytics, and prebuilt AI and machine learning (ML) models to deliver deeper insights and accelerate the decision-making process into actionable results. As a developer in the FDI team, you will have an opportunity to build and operate a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. You will need deep experience with distributed systems, proficiency with solving real-world challenges in large data systems, a strong understanding of how to build solutions that are resilient, highly available, scalable and a proven ability to design, develop, and deliver back-end systems.

Qualifications:

  • BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of applied experience
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse architecture and cloud technologies
  • Strong experience in Oracle Database development, with strong emphasis on PL/SQL programming and SQL optimization
  • Design and implement efficient ETL processes for data warehousing solutions
  • Good understanding of data modeling and database design principles
  • Lead database performance optimization initiatives through advanced indexing strategies and query tuning
  • Expert-level PL/SQL skills, including complex implementations of Oracle-supplied packages, nested tables, VARRAYs, records, types, dynamic SQL, analytical functions, and optimizing database objects such as procedures, packages, functions, and triggers
  • Knowledge of Oracle Data Dictionary, RDBMS concepts, and normalization techniques
  • Experience integrating various data sources with multiple relational databases.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning using AWR, SQL Monitor, and Explain Plan.
  • Proficiency in using tools like TOAD, SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, and PL/SQL Developer.
  • Be a champion for CI/CD and development best practices, especially around automation and testing
  • Good communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate engineering designs
  • Programming experience in building Java applications is a plus
  • Experience in creating RESTful web services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA is a plus
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud and Oracle Analytics is a plus

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
