Your Day-to-Day:

• Accountable for the successful operations of the group in its primary accountability for assuring of the safe operation of Global Nuclear Operating Plants that utilize Westinghouse Technology as a part of the operation of their Nuclear Power Plant.
• Manage a team of software engineers, including task planning and design reviews, to provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
• Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex software projects.
• Work closely with the product management, core engineering, and innovation management teams to optimize value and ensure dynamic prioritization of projects in line with business needs.
• Manager will focus on the following objectives:  1) Maintain a Nuclear Safe Working Environment, 2) Predict and monitor the required skills and headcount to deliver upon business demand, 3) Monitor and manage the group’s costs to objectives, 4) Work with Transformation manager to drive continuous improvement, 5) Work with FET Staff for the overall successful requirements of the Business Needs placed upon the FET Department, 6) Work with HR and HR Processes to oversee the People Management Objectives of the group and with the group’s Personnel, and 7) Work and meet regularly with and develop Key Customer Relationships to assure understanding the customer needs and expectations for the Fuel Engineering Technology Products.

 

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline required.
• Minimum 8+ years, including: 
  • 3+ years as a software developer, ideally with both UI and back-end development experience 
  • 5+ years leading full stack teams, responsible for taking features from concept through to delivery release and maintenance.
• Experience leading teams in Agile or semi-Agile environments that practice continuous delivery.
• Experience with negotiations, persuasion, listening, and people development skills is essential.
• Effective oral and written communication with internal and external customers and engineering groups.
• Solid understanding of high technology products and systems.
• Ability to gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make effective decisions.
• Excellent team building skills with ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
