Your Role With Us: 

The advancement and delivery of top-notch, effective healthcare education is at the heart of what we do! Your sound interpersonal abilities and enthusiasm for building strong relationships will support clinical education activities in the Nurse Practitioner (NP) programs.

Location: Onsite in Provo, UT, 3-5 days per week

Core Functions: 

  • Expectation for on-site and in-person travel to recruit new clinical preceptors nationally.
  • Initiate and maintain contact with potential and existing clinical sites via telephone, email, and in-person visits.
  • Conduct new site and existing site visits and participate in the vetting of new clinical sites.
  • Update and manage a database of preceptor credentials and other paperwork.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with providers, medical groups, and administrators.
  • Work with RMU NP alumni to obtain potential new preceptors.
  • Schedule clinical rotations for NP students and assist in managing clinical paperwork.
  • Participate in clinical team projects as directed by the Director of Clinical Education.
  • Participate in presentations to students, as directed by the Director of Clinical Education.
  • Respond to student correspondence promptly.
  • Participate in appropriate professional development.
  • Assist in marketing and public relations with the marketing department as directed.
  • Participate in preceptor retention activities, including appreciation and applicable events.

Background/Expertise: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in nursing (healthcare), sales/marketing, and/or recruiting is preferred.
  • Ability to travel regularly; ability to drive; clean driving record, management, integrity, follow through.
  • Excitement about contributing to an innovative program and patient-centered learning culture.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with students, staff, preceptors, clinical site staff, and organizational administrators.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers for organization, word processing, and communication
  • Service-oriented with mindfulness and strong organizational skills.
  • Pleasant personality and demeanor and reflective of a professional graduate program in attitude, appearance, conversation, and behavior
  • Growth mindset with desire and willingness to develop additional skills.
