Job Title: BGC SEC Reporting Analyst
Location: New York City/New York Metropolitan/Hybrid

Responsibilities:
The Analyst is an integral member of the Finance team who participates in the accounting and finance processes and controls over internal and external financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and operations.
- Work cross-functionally across the Company on SEC Reporting matters order to ensure proper accounting
- Responsible for month-end close process and journal entries (e.g. capital and intercompany activities)
- Partner closely with Investor Relations (IR) to assist in reviewing and substantiating all financial data in the BGCP Quarterly Earnings Releases, script, and presentations
- Maintain internal and external reporting calendars, coordinate key timelines and deliverables, and work collaboratively with various business partners to ensure timely, accurate and complete reporting
- Assist in preparing quarterly internal financial reporting packages and other supplementary analyses
- Prepare quarterly reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and monitor debt compliance requirements
- Perform the monthly balance sheet substantiation, resolve issues, and escalate key items timely
- Prepare monthly and quarterly analytical reporting including commentary on balance sheet and P&L variances
- Initiate process reengineering and work with the Finance Technology Team to capitalize on automation tools to improve efficiency in the financial statement close process and quarterly/annual filings.
- Assist in the preparation of the Form 11-K filing and audit
- Ad hoc projects
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of related experience in the financial accounting group of a financial services company preferred
- Big Four public accounting firm experience preferable
- Detail Oriented, critical thinker, collaborator, multitasker, effective communicator with strong project management skills
- Advanced analytical and excel capabilities
- Experience with Tableau, and Alteryx, a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with Oracle, SmartView/Essbase, HFM, Workiva, a plus, but not required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
- CPA is required
Salary: $105,000- $120,000
The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
