Real Chemistry is looking for an Account Director to join our growing Medical Communications team!

The Account Director for the Scientific and Medical Affairs team serves as the primary client contact, leading client relationships of ~$2M, providing strategic counsel, and overseeing the successful execution of projects. You will ensure high-quality deliverables, proactively identify opportunities for account growth, and manage internal teams effectively.

This is a hybrid role is based in any of our US offices, including New York City, Boston, Indianapolis or Chicago.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as day-to-day lead client partner for medical affairs and publication workstreams, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.

  • Provide senior-level counsel on key projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry best practices.

  • Oversee account operations, ensuring seamless execution of deliverables, proactive issue resolution, and effective communication of project updates.

  • Drive strategic planning and growth opportunities, identifying areas for program evolution and expansion.

  • Ensure financial stewardship, including budget oversight, forecasting, and profitability management.

  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.

  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitive activities to inform client strategies.

  • Support new business development efforts, contributing to pitches, proposals, and overall business growth initiatives.

What you should have:

  • 6+ years of experience in medical affairs and ideally publications, in an agency setting.

  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing client relationships and internal teams.

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving account growth.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in financial management, including budget tracking and forecasting.

  • Experience with Advisory boards, investigator meetings, and meeting management.

  • Veeva management expertise (preferred but not required).

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

Pay Range: $110,000.00-$130,000.00
