What is the opportunity?

We are currently looking for a Senior Finance Performance Analyst for Zurich Cover-More (ZCM).  This role is responsible for delivering analysis, insights, financial and operational reporting, planning and forecasting capabilities for ZCM, comprising of Cover-More, US Accident & Health and the recently acquired Travel Guard business.  This is a new role providing an opportunity to design and develop processes and tools, working closely with the business unit finance teams.

This position is based in the USA, ideally located in our home office location in Schaumburg, IL or at one of our regional offices. We will consider experienced candidates with remote locations as well.  You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, your customers, and the team.

What will you be doing?

• Develop financial analysis, insights, planning and forecasting for Zurich Cover-More
• Develop and implement annual financial plans across Zurich Cover-More in close collaboration with Zurich Global Ventures, Group Finance and the Finance teams in the Zurich Cover-More business units
• Contribute to process improvement and the creation of long-term, scalable finance solutions for the Group
• Communicate timelines, requirements and act as the first point of contact for performance management activities including business unit reviews, monthly business updates, and other executive communications
• Develop written communications that convey a cohesive story, including development of analysis and commentary, to a broad range of executive audiences (e.g., Zurich Global Ventures, Group Planning & Performance Management, and Zurich Cover-More leadership)
• Conduct recurring and ad hoc analyses to help Finance leadership understand performance drivers for over/under-performance against the forecast and/or Plan
• Work closely with senior leadership, helping provide a high-level view of financial performance and integrating insights across various departments, and contribute to creating Zurich Cover-More’s financial infrastructure from the ground up.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area, preferably within Insurance or Financial Services industry
• CPA, CPCU, CFA or CTP Designation
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations; experience with Power BI, SAP, and General Ledger systems
• Solid knowledge of financial accounting terms and concepts
• A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive projects independently with a high level of motivation and autonomy in a dynamic, evolving environment
• Strong project management skills and understanding of business processes (an understanding of business integration and separation processes is a plus)
