Who We Want:

Challenge is seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance/Production Supervisor reporting to the Maintenance Manager located at our Irving, Texas plant. This position directs a team of skilled maintenance technicians, production weld operators, Material Handling, Weld Destruct, and Quality employees.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee all operations as it pertains to manufacturing. Coordinates work flow and daily scheduling to ensure shipping requirements are met.
  • Know, communicate, and be responsible for the achievement of key metrics, including run time attainment, quick set up, and internal PPM.
  • Ensure all documentation (bar code labels, verification sheets, etc) is timely and accurately completed by production team.
  • Review work orders with staff and review work at every phase to ensure quality.
  • Manage processes with detailed accuracy, and discipline.
  • Coach and assist all employees with problem solving.
  • Teaches, trains, and keeps accurate records of training.
  • Ensures all quality standards are met.
  • Ensures that preventive maintenance activities are performed properly and on-time.
  • Pays close attention to detail. Example: Safety, Housekeeping, quality, performance, instructions given by management, and employee well-being.
  • Incident reporting, and investigation of root cause for injuries, near misses, and mishits that occur on tools.
  • Monitors employee attendance, and disciplines accordingly in accordance with the employee handbook.
  • Supports team members with completion of daily tasks.
  • Conducts toolbox talks daily to ensure proper and consistent communication.

When and Where:
This will be a 3rd Shift / Sun-Thur 10pm-6am position located at our Plant in Irving, TX. 
Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.

What You Need to Have:

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university or HS Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of maintenance experience preferred
  • 5 years of Supervisor experience in an industrial environment required. 
  • At least 2 years machine operator experience preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes.

  • Takes positive action to objectively resolve conflict by listening, staying focused on issue to find resolution, and monitoring progress.

  • Uses feedback from others to continuously improve performance and work relationships.
  • Moves within own and/or other work areas (flexes) to support plant flow.

  • Has necessary experience, skills, and knowledge to perform all aspects of job; rotates through all job responsibilities.
