Exciting opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2024 Global Internship Program as a Specialty Lab Operations Intern in an Anatomic Pathology Department!
As a Labcorp intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that compliment an education in STEM+ Business and Healthcare disciplines, and are inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe. About the Team:
- The Anatomic pathology department provides a range of services for clients including the processing of gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens (pap smears) in the cytology department. As well as processing, grossing and embedding of biopsy specimens
Internship Assignment Summary:
- Attend training sessions to learn tools about certain job duties and self development
- Familiarize yourself with operations of Anatomic pathology from bench tech and a glimpse into managing the department
- Engage in professional development workshops to enhance your business acumen and professional presence
- Understanding the processes and importance of cytology and histology play in patient care.
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
- Working towards bachelor’s degree majoring in Life or Health or Physical Science
- Has experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting
- Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal/external colleagues
- Embraces diverse ways of thinking through various forms collaboration and partnership
